Gemma leads the National Highways and Tier 1 supply chain engagement portfolio of innovation and collaborative projects for the Connected Places Catapult. 

Gemma is an inclusive senior business development manager with proven success in leadership, business management, businessdevelopment, and programme management for new and emerging technologies. 

A ‘big picture’ professional who relies on her collaborative network to deliver strategic outcomes, enabling the use of innovative technology in a dynamic and complex environments within both public and private sectors.  Gemma has expertise across a broad range of sectors, including nuclear, aerospace (Satellite applications), aviation (UAM), infrastructure and communications. 

Gemma has a wealth of experience delivering international projects and programmes for industry, academia and government, including for the National Research Council of Canada, Future of Flight, ATI, Department for Transport, and European Commission.

Accelerating innovation into BAU

The Connected Places Catapult is leading in fields such as Mobility, Built Environment, Critical Infrastructure, Health & Wellbeing, Public Places and Decision Making. We will outline their view on the ‘art of the possible’ for digital twins, SME competitions and innovation. We will discuss this vision and scale of ambition. The facilitator will invite NH participants to reflect on matters that might need to be resolved in order to achieve the vision.
