FUSION will replace London’s legacy UTC-SCOOT system and represents a major step change in the evolution of adaptive traffic control, the first for decades.

In this presentation, Dr Andy Hamilton will describe the principles of FUSION, its development goals, key user benefits and details on its innovative optimisation methods.

FUSION’s ability to harness data from both existing and new data sources, optimise across different transport modes through the use of mesoscopic simulation and a holistic approach to optimization and prioritization will be discussed.
