William Beazley

Severe Weather Research & Development Specialist, National Highways

I studied at the University of East Anglia achieving a MSci. in Meteorology and Oceanography, graduating in 2016. Thereafter, I started working for a commercial weather company in their Offshore department in Aberdeen. I provided forecasting services to various offshore projects such as wind farm developments and salvage operations over a 7-year period.

In September 2023, I started working for National Highways. My role as Severe Weather R&D Specialist is to facilitate and assist with any R&D related activities the National Winter & Severe Weather Team may require; gathering, collating, and analysing data to support decision making and improve the NWSWT’s policies and guidance.
