William Beazley

Severe Weather Research & Development Specialist, National Highways

William studied at the University of East Anglia, achieving an MSci. in Meteorology and Oceanography, graduating in 2016. Thereafter, he started working for a commercial weather company in their Offshore department in Aberdeen. He provided forecasting services to various offshore projects, such as wind farm developments and salvage operations, over a seven-year period.

In September 2023, William started working for National Highways. His role as Severe Weather R&D Specialist is to facilitate and assist with any R&D-related activities the National Winter & Severe Weather Team may require, gathering, collating, and analysing data to support decision-making and improve the NWSWT’s policies and guidance.
