Derek McLean
Head of Product, APT SKIDATADerek McLean is an experience product and marketing specialist. Derek spent the first part of his career in product development in IP Telephony, IPTV and core internet connectivity for Nortel Networks and Bell Canada.
For the middle part of his career, he developed data, voice, wireless & security networks for most of the world’s largest telcos as part of Westcon Services, delivering more than 21,000 sites globally.
The last third of Derek’s career has seen a return to product development whilst adding product management and product marketing for Stanley Security where he led the UK product and marketing teams, developing high end security solutions for the financial, industrial, healthcare and enterprise markets.
Moving to APT SKIDATA 4 years ago, Derek brought his product and marketing knowledge into the parking and people access markets, focusing on digital technologies, partner integrations and the customer experience.
