Richard Walker

With a career spanning more than thirty years working in the local authority arena for both Borough and County tiers, it was Park & Ride that led Richard to alight from managing bus timetables and arrive in parking; from Suffolk via Norfolk, Ipswich and Colchester Councils to the Essex-wide Partnership.

Walker is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport; Chairman to the East Anglian Parking Forum, Chairman to the British Parking Association’s Local Authority Interest Group and Chairman to the Positive Parking Agenda, a founder member and Chair of Chipside’s local authority Modern Transport & Parking User Forum, a Local Authority Representative on the BPA Council and, having served on the BPA Board of Directors is Vice President Elect of the BPA.
