Rachel Gittens
Deputy Director, Strategic Road Network, Office of Rail and RoadRachel Gittens is the Deputy Director for Strategic Road Network at the Office of Rail and Road (ORR). She oversees all ORR’s day to day responsibility for holding National Highways to account in the delivery of its licence and Road Investment Strategy. Rachel is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 20 years' experience in the private and public sector.
She has strong technical background in the design and delivery of large complex infrastructure projects. Since 2012 she has used her practical experience to provide advice across highways and rail infrastructure owners on a variety of cross business programmes, predominately focusing on asset management, business planning regulation and transformation. Prior to joining ORR, Rachel was Head of Future Road Investment Strategy at National Highways.
