Peter Dorans
Director of Business Development, PlantlifePete is responsible for developing new ways of funding and delivering Plantlife’s mission to create a world rich in plants and fungi. This means planning how the charity responds to the emerging potential for private sector investment in nature recovery and developing new partnerships to use the investment to deliver restoration at scale and pace.
Plantlife’s Road Verges programme has made the case for road verge management for nature and gained the commitment of highway authorities across the UK. This has been reinforced with technical guidance. Plantlife is now working to identify and break down the systemic barriers to widespread management of road verges for nature.
Pete joined Plantlife in 2021 from The Wildlife Trusts, where, for 13 years, he was responsible for the interface with the corporate sector. Prior to this, he had a career in the civil service in the UK and New Zealand.
